The object of the PASS PLUS scheme is to give new drivers experience in a wider variety of situations and conditions than is required for the L test. The PASS PLUS scheme was set up by the DSA to encourage further driver education to make newly qualified drivers better drivers. On completion of the course some insurance companies offer discounts on their policies. The course consists of 6 modules usually taken in blocks of 3x2 hours or 2x3 hours tuition.

Training can be taken up to one year after passing the practical test and once completed it could save you money on your car insurance.
Kent County Council have teamed up with the DSA to promote this scheme, and therefore, if you are aged between 17 and 19 years of age they will pay £60 towards the cost of this essential course.
